Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has invited open tenders for the construction of a 1 MWpdc solar power project at its Sanghvi Pumping Station. The project is part of the capacity augmentation work for the Manmad-Mangalia pipeline section under the MMBPL pipeline project. Engineering consultancy firm Mecon Limited is managing the tender process on behalf of BPCL under the Works category for the Exploration and Production, Pipeline Projects department.
The solar project reflects BPCL’s continued efforts to integrate renewable energy into its infrastructure and improve the sustainability of its pipeline operations. The tender has been issued for work located in Mumbai.
As per the official tender notice bearing reference number 1000450003_MECDEL, bidders are not required to pay any tender fee to access or download the bid documents. However, interested contractors and engineering firms must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹5,00,000 as part of the bidding requirements.
The tender was officially published on August 4, 2026, at 6:38 PM. The process for downloading tender documents and submitting technical and financial bids began on the same day at 7:00 PM.
BPCL has set August 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM as the final deadline for downloading documents and submitting bids. The technical bids are scheduled to be opened on August 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM, shortly after the submission deadline.
Eligible contractors with experience in similar infrastructure and solar projects are expected to participate in the competitive bidding process. Interested bidders can access the complete tender documents, review the eligibility criteria, and submit their proposals through the official online procurement portal before the closing date.
The project is expected to strengthen BPCL’s renewable energy portfolio while supporting cleaner and more efficient operations across its pipeline infrastructure. It also aligns with the growing adoption of solar power by public sector companies to reduce carbon emissions and improve long-term operational sustainability.
