Each project has a capacity of 100 MW/400 MWh and is located in the Apulia region of southern Italy. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2027, with commissioning scheduled for late 2028.

Commenting on the acquisition, Paolo Tusa, Country Manager of OX2 Italy, said the transaction represents a significant addition to the company’s energy storage portfolio in Italy and supports its continued expansion across onshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage technologies. He added that the projects will contribute to Italy’s ongoing energy transition.

OX2 currently has 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects under development in Italy. Globally, the company manages a diversified portfolio of around 33 GW spanning onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects across five European markets and Australia.
