JSW Energy Adds 1,166 MW Renewable Capacity Since April 2026; Total Installed Capacity Reaches 14.92 GW

JSW Energy Limited has added 1,166 MW of renewable energy capacity since April 2026, taking its total installed power generation capacity to 14,920 MW. The company has also added 300 MW of inorganic thermal capacity following the completion of the acquisition of Maruti Clean Coal and Power Limited.

With the latest additions, renewable energy accounts for 60% of JSW Energy’s total installed capacity. Its renewable portfolio comprises 3,125 MW of wind, 2,360 MW of solar, 1,696 MW of hybrid and 1,781 MW of hydro capacity. The company’s thermal portfolio stands at 5,958 MW. JSW Energy said the 1,166 MW renewable addition has already surpassed 94% of its total organic capacity addition achieved in FY26.

JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.4 GW, including 14.9 GW operational capacity, 13.5 GW under construction and a 4 GW development pipeline. The company also has 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity, comprising 26.4 GWh of pumped hydro storage and 3.2 GWh of battery energy storage.

The company remains on track to add 3 GW of greenfield capacity in FY2027 and is targeting 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030. JSW Energy has also set a target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
