NLC India Limited, a Navratna Government of India enterprise, has announced new and reaffirmed credit ratings assigned by India Ratings & Research Private Limited. The disclosure was made through a regulatory filing dated August 10, 2026, with the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE under Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
India Ratings assigned a new “IND AAA/Stable” rating to NLC India’s bank loan facilities amounting to ₹1,102 crore. The rating reflects the company’s strong credit profile, financial strength, and very high capacity to meet its financial obligations.
The agency also reaffirmed the existing “IND AAA/Stable” rating for non-convertible debentures worth ₹2,500 crore. NLC India’s Commercial Paper programme, amounting to ₹6,000 crore, retained its short-term rating of “IND A1+”, indicating a very strong degree of safety regarding timely payment of financial commitments.
Additionally, bank loan facilities worth ₹2,923 crore continued to carry the dual ratings of “IND AAA/Stable/IND A1+”.
The reaffirmed and newly assigned ratings underline NLC India’s strong financial position, high credit quality, and low credit risk. The ratings are expected to support the company’s continued operations and financing requirements as it advances its business and development activities.
