Sungrow and GOLDBECK SOLAR Sign 722 MWp Poland PV Project and 1 GWh BESS Framework Agreement

Sungrow and GOLDBECK SOLAR have strengthened their strategic partnership through an agreement covering a 722 MWp utility-scale solar PV project in Poland and a framework agreement for a 1 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) pipeline.

The agreements were formally signed during Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich in June. The solar framework covers utility-scale PV projects in Dobrowo, Kikowo and Sidlowo, Poland, with Sungrow set to supply its utility-scale 1+X inverters and medium-voltage solutions, including the SG6600UD-MV and SG8800UD-MV.

The 722 MWp PV pipeline comes as Poland accelerates its renewable energy deployment. By the end of 2025, renewable energy sources accounted for more than half of the country’s installed power capacity, while solar PV capacity had reached nearly 25 GW.

The companies said the combined solar and storage agreement reflects Poland’s transition toward integrated renewable energy systems that can generate, stabilize and dispatch clean power. The 1 GWh BESS pipeline is expected to support grid flexibility, reduce curtailment pressure and improve the reliability of renewable power integration.

Sungrow said the agreement marks a shift from individual project cooperation toward a longer-term partnership focused on integrated clean energy infrastructure. The company also highlighted its investment in a manufacturing facility in Poland as part of its commitment to the market.

For GOLDBECK SOLAR, the partnership expands its collaboration with Sungrow from utility-scale solar PV into battery energy storage, which the companies identified as an important component of Europe’s next phase of energy transition.

The partnership combines GOLDBECK SOLAR’s EPC capabilities with Sungrow’s solar inverter and energy storage technology portfolio, supporting the development of large-scale renewable energy and storage infrastructure in Poland.
