U-Solar Advances 20 MW Open-Access Solar Project in Karnataka

U-Solar Clean Energy is executing a 20 MW ground-mount open-access solar power project in Vijayapura, Karnataka, reinforcing its focus on delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure for commercial and industrial power consumers. The project is currently under execution and is targeted for completion by September 2026.

Developed as an open-access solar project, the plant is designed to support the transition towards cleaner and more cost-effective electricity while contributing to Karnataka’s growing renewable energy capacity. U-Solar Clean Energy is responsible for the solar EPC and project execution, overseeing the implementation of the project from construction through commissioning.

Speaking on the project, K.R. Advanced Solar Technology for Reliable Generation  

The project is being equipped with Rayzon 625 Wp TOPCon modules, incorporating advanced N-type TOPCon technology to support high energy generation and efficient utilisation of the available project site.

The solar plant will also deploy Sineng inverters, selected to support efficient power conversion and reliable plant operations. The combination of high-performance PV modules and advanced inverter technology is expected to contribute to dependable energy generation throughout the project’s operational life.

With an estimated CO₂ offset of 27,272 tonnes per year, the project is expected to deliver a significant environmental benefit while supporting the broader decarbonisation objectives of India’s power sector.

Karnataka has emerged as one of India’s leading renewable energy markets, supported by its strong solar resource, expanding clean energy infrastructure and increasing demand for renewable electricity from commercial and industrial consumers.

The Vijayapura project adds to this momentum by combining utility-scale solar generation with an open-access power model.
