GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking, has invited open domestic competitive bids for upgrading the solar capacity at its existing 5 MW Ramgarh Solar Power Plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The project involves the design, engineering, procurement, construction, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of an additional 1.2 MWp DC solar capacity.
The project will be executed under a lump-sum contract and is aimed at strengthening renewable power generation at GAIL’s existing facility. The tender has been issued under Bidding Document Number GAIL/NOIDA/C&P/PROJ/RENEW/26-38 and Tender ID 2026_GAIL_287634_1.
Bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹11.88 lakh in favour of GAIL (India) Limited. Eligible bidders can avail themselves of EMD exemption provisions, while submission through a Bank Guarantee or Standby Letter is also permitted. No tender fee will be charged for downloading the bidding document. Preferential bidding provisions are available for eligible bidder categories, and bids must remain valid for 90 days.
The tender process opened on August 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM, while the deadline for document sale is September 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM. A virtual pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM through Microsoft Teams. The meeting access details will be provided in the tender document.
Online bid submission will begin on August 31, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The final deadline for submitting bids is September 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The technical bids are scheduled to be opened on September 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at GAIL’s Noida office.
The planned capacity addition is expected to further strengthen GAIL’s renewable energy generation portfolio and support increased solar power utilization at its Ramgarh facility.
