The project covers an inter-state transmission system between Gujarat and Maharashtra and was awarded through a tariff-based global competitive bidding process with an e-reverse auction conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL).

765/400 kV Substation and 300 km Transmission Line

As part of the project, Ceigall India will be involved in the development of a 765/400 kV air-insulated substation (AIS) along with approximately 300 km of transmission lines. The project is structured as a tariff-based contract for establishing an inter-state transmission system to evacuate power from the identified renewable energy zones.

The project has a 36-month work execution period, followed by an operational period of 35 years.

₹608.67 Crore Annual Transmission Charges

The project carries annual transmission charges of ₹6,086.70 million, or approximately ₹608.67 crore, for the 35-year operational period.

RECPDCL is the entity responsible for awarding the contract, while the company’s disclosure states that the project is a domestic contract. It also confirms that the project does not constitute a related-party transaction and that the promoters or promoter group have no interest in the awarding entity.
The transmission system is expected to support the evacuation of power from large-scale generation projects in the Lakadia, Jam Khambhaliya and Jamnagar regions and strengthen inter-state power transmission infrastructure between Gujarat and Maharashtra.
