Axis Energy has partnered with Lumara, a renewable energy platform launched by Brookfield in India, to develop a 400 MW utility-scale solar power project in Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh.
The project, located at Nandipadu Village in Nandyal District, will involve Axis Energy undertaking the development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the solar power plant.
As part of the project scope, Axis Energy will execute the complete EPC works for the solar facility, along with the development of a 400 kV Pooling Substation (PSS) and an associated 400 kV transmission line.
The transmission infrastructure will connect the project to the Kurnool III CTUIL Substation, enabling the evacuation of power generated by the solar plant to the national grid.
The project is expected to generate employment opportunities for local communities during both the construction and operational phases, supporting economic activity in the surrounding region.
The 400 MW solar project is targeted for commissioning in calendar year 2027.
The partnership strengthens Axis Energy’s role in utility-scale renewable-energy development while supporting the expansion of solar generation and associated transmission infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
