SECI Announces Auction Results For 700 MW BoS Contracts At Radhanesda Solar Project, Awards 870 MWp Module, And 160 MVA Transformer

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has announced the auction results for several key procurement and development packages linked to a 700 MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project at Radhanesda in Gujarat. The contracts cover solar module supply, power transmission infrastructure, and the Balance of System (BoS) works required for the project.

Under the tender for the manufacturing, testing, packing, supply, and transportation of 870 MWp of domestically manufactured solar PV modules using domestic solar cells, SECI has selected two bidders. M/s Kosol Energie Private Limited has been awarded a 300 MWp capacity package at a total value of INR 5,58,59,18,972.20, inclusive of taxes.

The remaining 600 MWp package has been awarded to M/s Saatvik Green Energy Limited. The contract carries a total value of INR 10,93,71,34,588.35, inclusive of taxes. The procurement is expected to support the project’s requirement for domestically manufactured solar equipment and cells.

SECI has also finalized the contract for major power infrastructure required to evacuate electricity generated by the Radhanesda solar project. The tender covers the engineering, design, manufacturing, testing, packing, forwarding, transportation, freight, and insurance up to the project site for five 160 MVA, 220/33-33 KV power transformers.

M/s Technical Associates Transformers Ltd. has emerged as the successful bidder for the transformer package. The total contract value is INR 73,39,19,790.00, including taxes. The transformers will form an important part of the project’s electrical infrastructure and support the integration of the solar generation capacity with the grid.

In another major development, SECI has concluded the Balance of System tender for the development of the grid-connected 700 MW ground-mounted solar PV project. M/s LC Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. has been selected as the winning bidder for the BoS package. The contract has an overall award value of INR 10,95,15,24,254.91, inclusive of taxes.

The BoS scope is a critical component of large-scale solar projects and generally covers infrastructure and systems required to install, connect, and operate the solar generation facility apart from the PV modules.

The combined awards represent significant progress in the implementation of the 700 MW Radhanesda solar project. With contracts now finalized for domestic solar modules, transformers, and BoS works, SECI is advancing the project’s major supply and infrastructure requirements. The procurement of domestically manufactured modules and cells also highlights the continued emphasis on strengthening India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem while supporting large-scale renewable energy deployment.
