ACME Solar Commissions 66.68 MW Solar And 53.63 MW/300 MWh BESS Projects In Rajasthan

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned new solar and battery energy storage assets at Bikaner, Rajasthan, strengthening its portfolio of hybrid and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects.

Through its subsidiary ACME Renewtech Private Limited, the company has operationalized Phase-I of its first hybrid renewable energy project at Kelan Village. The initial phase includes 66.68 MW of solar capacity. The overall project is planned to comprise 300 MW of solar and 100 MW of wind capacity.

The project has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited and is supported by long-term financing from Power Finance Corporation (PFC). ACME Solar plans to complete the remaining solar capacity by the end of the third quarter of FY27. Following the commissioning, the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity has reached approximately 3,057 MW.

At the same location, ACME Greentech Seventh Private Limited has commissioned Phase-I of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) linked to an FDRE project. The commissioned phase provides 53.63 MW/300 MWh of storage against the project’s planned capacity of 300 MW/1,581 MWh.

The BESS project is designed to supply assured renewable power during off-peak periods. It is backed by a PPA with SJVN Limited and long-term financing from REC Limited. Full commissioning of the planned BESS capacity is expected by the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

With the addition of the new storage capacity, ACME Solar’s total operational BESS portfolio has increased to 4.16 GWh, crossing the 4 GWh milestone.

Overall, ACME Solar has a contracted renewable energy portfolio of 8,370 MW covering solar, wind, energy storage, and hybrid projects. The company disclosed the commissioning details through a corporate filing with BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India on September 16, 2026.
