GreenGo Energy and Jiangsu Shuangliang New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shuangliang Eco-Energy Systems Co., Ltd., have signed a memorandum of cooperation to advance large-scale green ammonia projects in Mauritania and Namibia.
The partnership will focus on developing GreenGo Energy’s Megaton-scale green ammonia projects from concept stage toward bankable feasibility studies and front-end engineering design (FEED). The cooperation combines GreenGo Energy’s expertise in renewable energy and Power-to-X project development with Shuangliang’s capabilities in hydrogen equipment, engineering and system solutions.
Under the agreement, the companies will work on project feasibility and bankability, with the objective of developing technically and commercially viable solutions that address project financing and implementation requirements. Shuangliang will also provide technical support for FEED activities and project configuration.
The partnership will include the evaluation and potential supply of smart green power-to-hydrogen systems and related core equipment. Engineering and technical services will also be provided to help convert the project concepts into executable industrial-scale developments.
The cooperation is intended to strengthen the integration of renewable power, hydrogen production and green ammonia manufacturing. GreenGo Energy will use the partnership to add industrial technology and engineering capabilities to its project development activities in Mauritania and Namibia.
Shuangliang New Energy Equipment specialises in the research, development, design, manufacturing and servicing of smart green power-to-hydrogen equipment and system solutions. Its technology focuses on safety, energy efficiency, intelligent control and operation with variable renewable power.
The MOU provides a framework for cooperation on GreenGo Energy’s Megaton-scale projects, while project-specific scopes, commercial terms and implementation arrangements will be determined as individual projects advance.
The companies aim to use the collaboration to improve project configuration and technical readiness as the developments move toward feasibility studies and FEED. The partnership is also expected to support the development of an integrated green hydrogen-to-ammonia value chain, linking renewable electricity generation with hydrogen production and downstream green ammonia output in the two African markets.
