SUGS Lloyd Limited has secured a power distribution infrastructure contract worth approximately ₹213.48 crore, including GST, for projects under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in Punjab. The company received the Letter of Award from Marshal Enterprises on September 21, 2026. The project is scheduled for completion within 15 months from the date of award.
The contract covers the balance supply and installation work for low-tension (LT) and high-tension (HT) infrastructure under loss-reduction projects being implemented in two circles of Punjab. The first project is located in the Faridkot Circle and covers Moga District, with a contract value of approximately ₹89.88 crore. The second project falls under the Gurdaspur Circle and covers Pathankot District, with a value of around ₹123.60 crore.
The underlying RDSS projects were originally awarded by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to Marshal Enterprises. Under the new arrangement, SUGS Lloyd will execute the remaining scope as a subcontractor on a back-to-back basis. PSPCL has approved the appointment of SUGS Lloyd as the executing partner for the works.
The scope includes the supply of required plant and materials, installation, supervision, testing, and commissioning of the distribution infrastructure. SUGS Lloyd will also be responsible for deploying the manpower, machinery, and equipment required for project execution. The company will have to meet the quality standards, technical specifications, timelines, and other requirements specified under the primary contracts between PSPCL and Marshal Enterprises.
The projects are focused on reducing electricity distribution losses and improving the efficiency and reliability of the power distribution network in the covered districts. The infrastructure works are expected to contribute to the modernization of existing LT and HT networks while supporting the objectives of the RDSS.
The contract is expected to strengthen SUGS Lloyd’s order book and provide revenue visibility over the 15-month execution period. It also expands the company’s involvement in power distribution infrastructure in Punjab and could support its participation in similar opportunities in the sector.
Santosh Shah, Managing Director of SUGS Lloyd Limited, said the contract is an important addition to the company’s order book and provides an opportunity to deepen its presence in the power distribution segment. He added that the company will focus on rapid mobilization, quality control, and disciplined execution during the project period.
