Glint Solar, an AI-powered software platform for utility-scale solar and energy storage development, has appointed Lubomila Jordanova, founder of carbon accounting platform Plan A and co-founder of the Greentech Alliance, to its Board of Directors.
The appointment comes as Glint Solar expands its operations globally amid increasing demand for faster solar and energy storage project development and growing complexity around grid access, land availability and permitting.
Glint Solar’s AI-powered software platform is designed to help utility-scale solar and storage developers identify viable project sites by combining geospatial and regulatory data. The platform enables developers to assess site constraints, evaluate project feasibility and prioritise potential opportunities.
The company estimates that its platform can reduce overall utility-scale project development timelines from an average of around seven years to approximately three and a half years.
Jordanova brings experience in building and scaling climate technology businesses to her new role. She founded Plan A in 2017, developing the company into a carbon accounting and decarbonisation software platform serving more than 1,500 companies globally. Plan A was acquired by Nasdaq-listed Diginex in January 2026, where Jordanova subsequently served as CEO.
She also co-founded the Greentech Alliance, a global network connecting climate technology companies with investors and advisors. Her previous recognitions include being named an Obama Foundation Leader, an MIT Innovator Under 35 Europe and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree.
At Glint Solar, Jordanova will advise on the company’s international expansion, commercial strategy and scaling of its software platform across new markets.
Glint Solar CEO Simen Fure Jørgensen said Jordanova’s experience in scaling an international climate technology software company would support the company as it enters its next phase of growth.
The appointment comes as solar and storage developers face increasing challenges related to land availability, grid connections, permitting and project feasibility. Glint Solar is positioning its software platform as a tool for streamlining these early-stage development processes and supporting project selection.
