Andhra Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 Wraps Up in Visakhapatnam, Putting the Spotlight on the State’s Next Energy Opportunities

From conversations around solar deployment and grid readiness to rooftop solar skills, emerging technologies and new business partnerships, Andhra Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 concluded in Visakhapatnam after two days of focused industry engagement at the Gadiraju Palace Convention Center & Hotel.

Rather than simply bringing the energy industry under one roof, the Expo reflected where Andhra Pradesh’s energy market is heading next. Across the exhibition floor, conference sessions and technical programs, conversations centred on how the state can translate growing clean energy ambitions into projects, stronger infrastructure, technology adoption and business opportunities.

The event connected government representatives, utilities, developers, EPC companies, manufacturers, technology providers, distributors, investors and energy professionals, creating opportunities for stakeholders across the value chain to engage directly with one another.

Distinguished Government & Industry Leadership

The Expo was strengthened by the presence of key government dignitaries and energy sector leaders, including:

  • Sri P. V. Rama Raju, Project Director, New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd.
  • Sri P. Solmenraju, CGM, Operations, Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited
  • Shri T. V. Surya Prakash, Director (Operations), Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited

Their presence added significance to the industry gathering, bringing together perspectives from renewable energy development and the power distribution ecosystem as the sector explores the next phase of clean energy growth in Andhra Pradesh.

The Exhibition Floor Became a Business Meeting Ground

Across two days, the Expo floor featured technologies and solutions spanning Solar Energy, Energy Storage, Industrial Energy, Grid Infrastructure, Electricals and Smart Energy.

But the activity extended beyond product displays.

EPCs explored technologies for upcoming requirements. Manufacturers and solution providers interacted with potential customers and channel partners. Visitors compared products and technical capabilities, while companies used the platform to initiate conversations around procurement, distribution, projects and partnerships.

This direct interaction between technology providers and the market made the exhibition a practical business platform for companies looking to expand their presence in Andhra Pradesh.

Conversations Shifted From Ambition to Execution

The conference program brought another dimension to the Expo, with industry leaders and experts examining the issues influencing the next stage of energy development in the state.

Discussions explored renewable energy deployment, policy, investment, infrastructure, technology and market growth, with an emphasis on the practical considerations involved in taking projects and technologies from opportunity to implementation.

The sessions brought government, utilities and industry perspectives into the same conversation—helping connect larger energy ambitions with the realities of infrastructure, investment, technology adoption and execution on the ground.

Surya Gurukul Put Skills at the Centre of Rooftop Solar Growth

While the wider Expo addressed the energy industry, Surya Gurukul – 1 Day Technical Program & Summit focused closely on one of the most important parts of the rooftop solar ecosystem: the people responsible for implementing projects on the ground.

Designed for PM Surya Ghar vendors, EPC contractors, installers and service providers, the program moved into practical aspects of rooftop solar execution, including system design and installation, safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, customer service and emerging technologies.

With experts, technology providers, DISCOM representatives, policymakers and practitioners participating in the program, Surya Gurukul created a dedicated environment for addressing technical knowledge and implementation practices.

As rooftop solar deployment expands, strengthening installer and EPC capabilities will be just as important as expanding capacity—and the program brought that requirement into focus.

Recognising the Companies and People Moving the Sector Forward

The final day also turned the spotlight on achievement through the Andhra Pradesh Energy Awards 2026 and SuryaGhar Shakti Awards 2026.

The recognitions celebrated companies, professionals, projects and initiatives contributing to the wider energy industry as well as the rooftop solar ecosystem.

Together, the two award platforms highlighted not only business and project achievements, but also the organisations and professionals translating the energy transition into tangible work across the market.

Two Days That Reflected a Market in Motion

The takeaway from Andhra Pradesh Energy Expo 2026 was not simply the number of companies or professionals gathered in Visakhapatnam.

It was the breadth of activity taking place across the energy value chain—from new technologies being evaluated and project requirements being discussed to technical capabilities being strengthened and new industry relationships being formed.

The two days demonstrated a market moving from conversations around clean energy potential towards the practical questions of deployment, infrastructure, skills, technology and execution.

As Andhra Pradesh continues to build its energy ecosystem, platforms that connect these different pieces of the value chain will remain important in turning opportunity into projects, partnerships and progress.
