The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued the 12th revision of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II for Solar PV Cells, adding Gopin Semicon Private Limited as an approved manufacturer. The revision was released on October 8, 2026, through an official memorandum issued by the ministry’s Grid Solar Power Division in New Delhi. The total solar PV cell capacity reached 37.8 GW.
Under the latest revision, Gopin Semicon’s manufacturing facility at Gopin Industrial Park in Segva, Kamrej, Surat, Gujarat, has been enlisted with an annual capacity of 402 MW. The company will manufacture N-type TOPCon solar cells with G12R dimensions of 210 mm x 182.2 mm, featuring a 16-busbar configuration and PID-free certification.
The approved model, GSPL_G12R, has an average efficiency of 25.57% and a power output of 9.78 Wp. Its specified efficiency range is 24.60% to 25.70%, while the power output ranges from 9.41 W to 9.82 W. The enlistment will remain valid for four years, from October 8, 2026, to October 7, 2030.
The latest update follows the 11th revision, issued on October 5, 2026, which expanded the approved capacity of Premier Energies Photovoltaic Private Limited in Telangana by 1,280 MW annually. The addition covered bifacial mono-crystalline silicon PERC cells with an average efficiency of 23.53% and a power output of 7.83 Wp. The revision also updated the performance ranges for Renewsys India Private Limited, extending its efficiency range to 20.50%–25.80%.
Earlier, the 10th revision, published on September 28, 2026, included Jupiter Solartech Private Limited’s Baddi facility in Himachal Pradesh, with an annual capacity of 1,297 MW for bifacial N-type TOPCon cells.
Previous updates also included Reliance Industries, TP Solar and Waaree Energies, reflecting the expansion of India’s domestic solar cell manufacturing base.
MNRE clarified that the capacity figures represent the total enlisted capacity of each manufacturing unit as of the revision date, rather than cumulative additions across revisions. The continuing updates to ALMM List-II aim to maintain transparency and oversight of approved solar cell manufacturing facilities in India.
