Jyoti Structures Limited has secured contracts worth ₹949.35 crore, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) for the development of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines in Rajasthan. The contracts cover two packages under the ±800 kV HVDC Bipole Barmer-II and South Kalamb Transmission Lines project.
The company received two separate awards for the project. Lot 1 under package TL01 is valued at ₹474.85 crore, while Lot 2 under package TL02 is worth ₹474.50 crore. Both contracts involve the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of transmission lines on a turnkey basis. The designated completion period for each package is 38 months from the date of the respective notification of award.
The project is expected to contribute to the development of India’s power transmission infrastructure by supporting the efficient transfer of electricity over long distances. HVDC technology enables the movement of large volumes of power and plays an important role in strengthening transmission networks, particularly as the country expands its renewable energy capacity.
The latest contracts add to Jyoti Structures’ growing order pipeline in the transmission infrastructure segment. The company recently secured another order worth ₹689.93 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited for the 765 kV double-circuit Pachchham-Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat. This contract further strengthens its presence in the development of high-voltage transmission infrastructure.
The company is also involved in an international transmission project in Sri Lanka. It is executing a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line project in partnership with Hayleys Fentons Limited. The project is intended to support the evacuation of wind power and its integration into the country’s national electricity grid.
Established in 1974, Jyoti Structures has more than five decades of experience in the power transmission sector. Its operations cover design, engineering, consultancy, manufacturing, prototype tower testing, construction, and project management. The company also undertakes underground cabling, optical ground wire installations, and high-voltage substation projects.
According to the company’s project track record, it has constructed more than 37,600 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and delivered over 1,800 high-voltage substation bays across domestic and international markets.
The latest awards from POWERGRID strengthen Jyoti Structures’ position in India’s transmission infrastructure sector, where expanding grid capacity and improving electricity transfer capabilities remain important for meeting the country’s growing power demand.
