Oswal Pumps Secures INR 235.92 Crore MSEDCL Order For 10,000 Solar Water Pumps In Maharashtra

Oswal Pumps Limited has secured a repeat order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 10,000 additional off-grid DC solar photovoltaic (PV) water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The contract is valued at approximately ₹235.92 crore, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), and has been awarded under the PM-KUSUM Component B scheme through the state’s Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojana.

AUXSOL

Under the contract, Oswal Pumps will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test and commission solar-powered water pumping systems at designated farmers’ locations across the state. The systems will be available in three capacities: 3 horsepower (HP), 5 HP and 7.5 HP. The project aims to support farmers by providing access to solar-powered irrigation facilities and reducing dependence on conventional electricity and diesel-based pumping systems.

ReNew

The company will also be responsible for providing complete warranty coverage, repairs and maintenance services for the installed systems. Additionally, it will deploy a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to monitor the performance and operational status of the pumping installations. These services will be provided for a period of five years as part of the agreement.

According to the company, the entire installation work is scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the work order. The project will require coordinated manufacturing, transportation and installation activities to ensure timely deployment of the pumping systems at farmers’ sites.

Commenting on the order, Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Oswal Pumps Limited, said that securing the repeat contract reflects the confidence placed by MSEDCL in the company’s capabilities and strengthens its existing association with the state utility. He also highlighted Maharashtra’s importance to the company’s operations and its efforts to support sustainable agricultural infrastructure.

Headquartered in Karnal, Haryana, Oswal Pumps manufactures submersible pumps, monoblock pumps, electric motors and solar modules. The company serves agricultural, residential and industrial customers through its distribution network.

The latest order further strengthens Oswal Pumps’ presence in India’s solar irrigation segment and supports the wider adoption of renewable energy-based agricultural solutions under government-led programmes.
