COMSOL® and SolarQuarter will host “Simulation Apps & Digital Twins for the Renewable Energy Industry” on 18 November 2026 at 3:00 PM IST. The online session will explore how modeling and simulation capabilities can be extended to a wider group of scientists and engineers through easy-to-use simulation apps.

ReNew

For teams developing renewable energy technologies, evaluating design choices and operating conditions is an essential part of engineering. Simulation models provide valuable insights, and making these models accessible beyond the specialists who build them can help more team members apply those insights to their work.

The webinar will introduce COMSOL® software’s capabilities for creating and deploying simulation apps, with a focus on connecting modeling expertise with broader engineering needs. Participants will learn how the Application Builder enables the creation of simplified interfaces for complex models and how COMSOL Compiler™ supports the deployment of standalone simulation apps.

The session will also explore how simulation apps can be incorporated into digital twins for equipment maintenance and process operation, extending their use beyond design and development.

A further focus will be the role of surrogate models in accelerating app performance. Attendees will gain an overview of approaches that use simulation data, including deep neural networks and Gaussian processes, to support faster evaluations within simulation apps.

Key areas covered in the webinar include:

  • Applying modeling and simulation to renewable energy equipment and processes.
  • Creating easy-to-use simulation apps with the Application Builder.
  • Deploying standalone apps through COMSOL Compiler™.
  • Sharing simulation capabilities with a wider group of scientists and engineers.
  • Incorporating apps into digital twins for maintenance and operation.
  • Using surrogate models to improve simulation app performance.
