The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) has floated a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 550 kW of rooftop solar systems at thermal power stations in the state of Odisha.
Bidders are expected to pay an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 5 lakh, and provide operation and maintenance services for these systems for five years.
The scope of work includes supplying, installing, and commissioning a 500 kW rooftop solar system at the Talcher Super Thermal Power Station (TSTPS) in Kaniha and a 50 kW system at the Talcher Thermal Power station in Angul district of Odisha. The last date for the submission of bids is January 21, 2020.
To be eligible to participate in the bidding process, bidders must have experience of designing, supplying, and commissioning at least 440 kW of grid-connected, rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects cumulatively, with at least one project of more than 100 kW in capacity.
Bidding companies are further expected to have an average annual turnover greater than Rs. 28.2 million in the last three financial years, according to a news report.
