In 2018, the United Statesโ€™ โ€œ201โ€ safeguard measures and Chinaโ€™s โ€œ531โ€ new policy led to a sharp decline in global demand for Chinese-made photovoltaic modules and cells. Chinese photovoltaic manufacturers were severely affected, including ET Solar in China.
