Solarvest Holding Berhad Signs Vivant for Two Solar Rooftop Contracts In Philippines

Vivant Energy Corp., a unit of listed Vivant Corp recently awarded two new contracts to Solarvest Holding Berhad, a Malaysian solar energy system specialist. The company will handle rooftop projects that are due for completion in the fourth quarter.

Vivant Energy, Chief Operating Officer Emil Andre Garcia said in a statement that

โ€œWeโ€™re glad to have Solarvest as our partner in providing solutions that power the success of our customers. We choose partners based on a shared commitment in providing innovative, diverse, and customer-focused energy solutions that will enable our customers to turn challenges into opportunities in our changing worldโ€.

The first contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning works of solar systems at 10 designated buildings which will have a cumulative capacity of 816.2 kWp, at the University San Agustin in Iloilo City. This project is already in progress.

The other contract is for the development of a 377.52 kwp solar photovoltaic system of Bulihan Industrial Park, Bulacan. Both agreements were signed in March.

Solarvest Group chief executive Davis Chong Chun Shiong stated that โ€œThis marks our first expansion beyond Malaysia, and we are thrilled to have received the opportunities and confidence from an established industry player such as Vivant Corp.โ€

Vivant Energy is involved in energy distribution and generation, retail electricity supply, and energy-related engineering solutions in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Vivant is one of the few Cebu-based companies that is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange.
