Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) tender for 2 GW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected Solar PV Project under tranche IX has received an overwhelming response from the project developers which resulted in an over-subscription of tender by about 2.35 GW. The tender received bids of total 4,350 MW solar capacity from 12 project developers, according to JMK Research.
Tentative List of Participants for this tender includes ReNew, O2 Power, EDEN, Tata, AMP Solar, NTPC, Azure, SolarPack, ENEL, Ayana, NLC and IB Vogt. These bidder bidded for 600 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, 600 MW, 200-300 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, 300 MW, 250 MW and 300 MW respectively. ReNew and Tata bidded for highest capacity of 600 MW whereas NLC bid for lowest capacity of 250 MW.
In March, Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) invited tender for 2000 MW ITS-connected solar PV power projects in India under tariff-based competitive bidding on “Build Own Operate” (B-O-O) basis for 25 years. Later, SECI extended its bid submission deadline till 22 June 2020 due to lock-down.
Recently, The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) issued notice with regards to a pre bid meeting of 10 MW Grid Connected Solar PV Power Project which is to be installed at Bagru, Jaipur District, Rajasthan under Global Competitive Bidding. The notice states that “Due to the current pandemic and lock-down on account of COVID19, the pre-bid meeting shall be conducted online”.
