GUNVL 700 MW Tender Of Dholera Solar Park Oversubscribed By 600 MW

The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) tender for development of 700 MW of solar PV projects at the Dholera Solar Park has been oversubscribed by 600 MW.

Total bid of 1,300 MW was submitted by seven bidders, according to an official.

The seven bidders are Tata, Torrent, Vena, SJVN bidded for 100 MW of capacity.Renew Power and Juniper Green bidded for  200 MW capacity whereas O2 Power bidded for largest capacity of 500 MW.

On 2nd June, The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd has issued a notice stating a second extension of the bid submission deadline for its 700 MW of solar projects in Dholera Solar Park (Phase IX).

The existing deadline for bid submission was 30.05.2020 – 5 pm and now the revised date has been extended to 31.07.2020 – 5 pm.Earlier the submission of technical bids was 01.06.2020 – 11 AM hich has been revised to 04.08.2020 – 11 AM .The financial bid opening date, followed by an e-reverse auction has now been extended from 08.06.2020 – 11 AM to 13.08.2020 – 11 AM.

In May ,GUVNL first extended the deadline for bid submission from 30-04-2020  to 30-05-2020 at 5 pm.The submission of technical bids was revised to 01.06.2020.The financial bid opening date, followed by an e-reverse auction was extended from 08.05.2020 to 08.06.2020.

GUVNL released this tender in January.To participate along with the bids bidders should submit earnest money deposits of Rs. 400,000/MW and at the time of signing the power purchase agreement. Bidders will also have to pay a performance bank guarantee of Rs. 944,000.

In March, GUJARAT URJA VIKAS NIGAM LTD. (GUVNL) has invited bids for the procurement of power on a short-term basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

The results for this tender was announced and the successful bidders were Juniper Green, Vena Energy, and Tata Power.the lowest quoted tariff was Rs. 2.61/kWh.
