GUVNL Invites Bids Of 500 MW On Short-term Basis

GUJARAT URJA VIKAS NIGAM LTD. (GUVNL) has invited bids for procurement of power on a short-term basis through a tariff-based competitive bidding process

Tender fee of Rs. 10,000 plus 18% GST should be paid by bidders to participate. The last date of submission of RFP bids is 17.03.2020 till 17:00 hrs. Non-financial technical bids will open on 18.03.2020 at 11:00 hrs and IPOS (Initial Public Offering) will open on 20.03.2020 at 11:00 hrs.

The tender mentioned that all the bidders should pay the requisite fees of 500 Rs per MW for the maximum bid quantum/capacity to PFC consulting limited (PFCCL). The bidder shall be capable of supplying 500mw power from 01.04.2020 to 30.04.2020,01.05.2020 to 31.05.2020 and 01.06.2020 to 30.06.2020 for 24 hours. The delivery point will be Gujarat state transmission system periphery (GETCO periphery).

Eligibility for participation is that power from each source shall not be less than 50 MW and the quantum of power offered by the bidder shall be firm power. if the bidder is a trader, it should submit a copy of a valid category trading license or equivalent trading licensee issued by an appropriate commission. 

Notice highlighted that bid price shall be firm for each requisition irrespective of generating source and shall have no escalation during such contractual basket supply periods and Bidders are also required to ensure availability of necessary infrastructure/groundwork, before participating in the bid.  

The bidders are required to submit Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for the maximum capacity at Rs. 30,000 per MW per month on RTC (30 days, 24 hours) basis and same shall be reduced on pro-rata basis in case of bids on an hourly basis, in the form of bank guarantee or electronically transfer through payment gateway provided by mstc ltd. A rebate of 2 % shall be applicable on payment of energy bills within the due date of payment.
