The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) recently seeks comments/ suggestions on implementation of Component-B of PM-KUSUM ie. Scheme for installation of standalone solar pumps — reg.
MNRE Invites Comments/suggestions are invited from all stakeholders on issues like eligibility for participation in the tender, technical and financial requirements, numbers of vendors to be empaneled for each category, cluster wise bidding, minimum capacity allocated to L1, provisions for MSME, contract performance guarantee requirement, specifications, etc.
Ministry is implementing the PM-KUSUM scheme, which inter-alia includes
installation of 17.5 Lakh standalone solar water pumps by the year 2022. Against the 1* year
target of 1.75 Lakh solar pumps, centralized tendering was concluded through EESL and
installations are under progress.
Ministry invites comments/suggestions for the same at shobhit.srivastava@nic.in by 30th September 2020.
During the implementation of 1‘ year target, the Ministry has received certain feedback on issues being faced by the vendors/implementing agencies/beneficiaries, which are being examined for suitably incorporating in the implementation process for the current year target.
MNRE is proposed to initiate centralized tendering process very soon for the current year
target of around 4.5 Lakh standalone solar pumps.
