SECI Declares Ayana and Fortum Winners of 600 MW Solar Auction of Koppal Substation

Ayana Renewables and Fortum were declared winners in Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction of 600 MW Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar project (Tranche X) in Karnataka.

Ayana won 300 MW @ INR 2.36/kWh and Fortum got 300 MW out of 400 MW @ INR 2.37/kWh

Tariff has seen a rebound amid BCD, GST, and possibly due to draft RE Policy of Karnataka apart from other influencing factors.

In July last year, SECI has floated a tender for developing 1200 MW of Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar power project (Tranche X) in Karnataka.

Under the tender a maximum capacity of 600 MW was to be awareded for injection at ISTS substations in Koppal and Gadag districts.

Bidders was supposed to submit a single bid offering a minimum of 50 MW and maximum of 1200 MW in multiples of 10 MW only.

As per the sources the remaining 600 MW capacity (Gadag) district will be auctioned tomorrow.
