Pekat Group Berhad is a solution provider specializing in the design, supply, distribution, and installation of the lightning protection system, earthing system, and surge protection system and its related technologies. The Company expanded and ventured into Photovoltaic (PV) Renewal Energy technology in 2006.

Sun Estates also signed a 2-year agreement with Pekat for the maintenance of the solar farm. The project is anticipated to be commissioned in December 2023.

Executive director Wee Chek Aik said, “Pekat’s expertise is becoming increasingly relevant at a time when more and more organizations are becoming carbon-conscious and are seeking to adopt clean, renewable energy. With prices of coal to oil and gas having more than doubled in the last two years, the cost of generating electricity from such fuels have escalated and our domestic electricity tariff has been adversely impacted.”
