Arab Medical Equipment Company (AMECO) signs a deal with Empower New Energy and Gree Solar to develop 2.5 MW capacity of solar power plant at its manufacturing unit in Ramadan City, Cairo.
Thi is fifth investment of Empower in Egypt. The agreement was signed for 25 years and the plant will generate 4.4 GWh solar power every year and will save 2125 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
Hisham El Fata Chairman of AMECO said, “offering rapid deployment of clean energy with no up-front cost to the customer is a value proposition that resonates greatly with Egyptian energy buyers and as a company, saves us electricity costs and enables sustainable operations with use of clean energy.”
