RUMSL Invites Bids for 300 MW (Phase II) Grid Connected Floating Solar PV Project in Madhya Pradesh

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has invited tenders to set up 300 MW of floating PV projects at Madhya Pradesh’s Omkareshwar Reservoir. RUMSL intends to use Omkareshwar’s floating solar park in six independent units each with 100 MW of grid connected floating solar projects. Phase I and II will be used to construct the 600 MW capacity. This tender is being issued to establish the second phase, which will see the development of three floating solar projects with a combined capacity of 100 MW. The minimum bidder must quote 90 MW for each category. The Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company will acquire the energy generated from the projects according to the power purchase agreement.

NLC India Tenders for 500 MW ISTS Connected Solar Project on PAN India Basis

Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited (NLC) India has invited bids for the setting up of 500 MW ISTS connected Solar Power Project on pan-India basis. The entire scope of work shall be carried out by the contractor on Lump-sum turnkey basis. The scope of work includes getting approval for connectivity and Long Term Access (LTA), Procurement of land/lease of Government or PSU land, Design, Engineering, Site development, Manufacture, Inspection at supplier’s works, Supply, Insurance, Transport, Storage, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of the total awarded capacity of minimum 100MW SPP to the respective Contractor along with Associated Evacuation System from the Power Export Sub Station up to the Delivery Point at ISTS/CTU Sub Station.

UPMRCL Issues Tender for 2 MW Rooftop Solar Project

Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL) invites open e-tenders from eligible applicants, who fulfill qualification criteria, for the work contract of Design, Engineering, Supply, Storage, Civil work, Erection of suitable structure, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the 2 MWp Rooftop Solar PV project including Operation and Comprehensive Maintenance (O&M) of the project in RESCO Model for a period of 25 years on Depot and Stations of Lucknow Metro Project of UPMRC Ltd. The ceiling tariff for the tender is Rs 4.50 per Kilowatt. The project size should be between 10 kW and 400 kW. As performance security, the selected bidder must pay Rs 2.448 millions. September 5, 2022 is the deadline for bid submissions.

TCIL Invites Bids To Install Rooftop Solar Systems Across Various States of India

Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) has invited bids to install and commission rooftop solar systems as a back-end partner for its projects. The empanelled parties will set up PV systems of different capacities across various states of India. EOIs are invited from all eligible bidders for Pre-Tender Tie-up with TCIL for “Rate Contract for empanelment of back end partner for Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Rooftop Solar Power System of different capacities connected to LT & HT Panel (Grid Connected) in the various states across India”. Last date & time for Online submission of Bids is 08/08/2022 3:00 PM and Online Opening of Technical Bid (Part-I) is on 10/08/2022 3:00 PM

India’s Power Generation Capacity to Hit 820 GW by 2030; Over 500 GW From Non-fossil Fuel Sources: Singh

Union Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister R.K. Singh said the country’s electricity generation capacity will reach 820GW by 2030, including more than 500GW from non-fossil fuel sources. Pointing out that India had already started adding storage capacity to renewable energy, the Minister said the government had come out with one of the largest bids on storage and was trying to bring down the storage cost by adding volume. He also emphasised on India’s commitment to energy transition targets though the country had one of the lowest per capita emissions.

NTPC Issues Tender For 1150 MW Grid Connected Solar PV Project and 150 MW BESS Across Cuba

NTPC issued a request for qualification (RfQ) for Selection of Solar Power Developers for setting up of 1150 MW grid connected Solar PV project across 175 locations and 150 MW/150 MWhr BESS at three locations in Republic of Cuba. Prospective Bidders, are invited to participate in the RFQ process, to submit their Applications in accordance with the requirements set out in this RFQ document, for the purpose of Qualification in relation to the Project. The brief scope of work for selected Developer shall include design, financing, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and transfer/dismantling of the Project.

TERI Experts Draw Up a Roadmap to India’s 2030 Decarbonisation Goals

With four of the five clean energy transition goals announced by India at Glasgow set for 2030, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) released a roadmap charting the feasible pathways to achieving the ambitious decarbonisation targets in New Delhi on Wednesday. Apart from suggesting policy as well as technological interventions to achieve the 2030 goals, TERI’s Roadmap to India’s 2030 Decarbonisation Target also calls for state leadership in the development of pumped storage plants, and feed-in-tariff for solar generation. Emphasising the significance of such a roadmap to decarbonisation, Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, TERI, said, “While India has the right policy regime in place, we need to adopt new energy storage solutions and technologies which bring stability and flexibility to the grid. We need collaborations for investing in research and development of new technologies.”
