SJVN Green Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN. It has opened bids for the design and engineering of 100 MW grid-connected PV power projects in Punjab.

The scope of work covers the development of land, procurement, transportation, supply and civil works as well as electrical works. The successful bidder will also need to manage the operation and maintenance for the project for two consecutive years.

September 1, 2022 is the last day to submit bids. The bids will open on the same day.

Two locations will host the 50 MW projects each. Pojewal and Rurki Chandpur are the locations for the projects. They are in Nawanshahr Tehsil district.

SJVN Green Energy and the Punjab State Power Corporation will enter into a power purchasing agreement (PPA) for the sale power.

This tender is only open to enlisted procurement, engineering, and construction vendors.

Earlier this month, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Sing Chouhan and Nand Sharma, Chairman & Managing director, SJVN, signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 90 MW Floating Solar Project at Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh. The PPA for the project was signed between SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), M/s M.P. Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) and M/S Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL).

Also SJVN informed that SJVN through its renewable arm SJVN Green Energy Limited, has executed one of the single largest registries of land of approximately 2043 Acres for development of its 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Bikaner. Nand Lal Sharma, stated that earlier in May 2022, SJVN had awarded India’s single largest EPC Contract for 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project to M/s Tata Power Solar Systems Limited for a total value of Rs 5491 Crores. The project is a part of the CPSU Scheme (Tranche-III) under Phase-II (Government Producer Scheme) for setting up of 5000 MW Grid Connected Solar PV Projects in India. SJVN has been allocated the 1000 MW capacity through competitive VGF based bidding process. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in January, 2024. This latest development will help in faster implementation of the project.
