Pavilion Renewables Group Is Supporting Clean Energy Adoption In Bahrain

Pavilion Renewables Group is committed to supporting the Kingdom’s transition towards sustainability and clean energy adoption. It has recently been working on two hotels in Manama: The Westin City Centre Bahrain as well as Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain and became the first hotel in Bahrain to be equipped with dual Axis vertical turbines.

Pavilion installed smart solutions at the hotels as per an agreement previously signed. These include rooftop-mounted solar systems and dual-axis vertical wind turbines. This will help reduce the facility’s carbon footprint and advance its sustainability strategies.

Pavilion Energy’s state-of-the-art Made-in Bahrain turbines were installed by the Group on both rooftops of the hotels. In addition to 96 solar cells, the Group also has a battery storage solution. The Pavilion Energy solutions allowed the Hotels to decrease their carbon footprint and produce clean energy. These systems can be used to light common areas on all floors.

Mr Ian Roos, Executive Chairman of Pavilion Renewables Group, stated, “We are delighted to have an opportunity to work on such prestigious projects at The Westin City Centre Bahrain and Le Meridien City Centre Bahrain. This step comes within our constant endeavours to boost our sustainable energy solutions across various sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It also reinforces our substantial supportive role towards the achievement of the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, as well as the Kingdom’s ambitious initiative to reach net zero carbon emissions by the year 2060, through enabling establishments in the public and private sectors to adopt clean energy solutions and reduce their carbon footprint.”
