Could you share some challenges faced by you as an Indian PV manufacturer?
As an Indian PV manufacturer, I think that one of the major problems we are having is the absence of a uniform policy and problems with implementation. In addition, a number of problems need to be resolved, such as preventing delays in land acquisition, insufficient R&D spending, and many more. In order to fully utilize India’s solar potential, the central government and state governments have taken a set of measures, including setting up significant bids, improving infrastructure, and promoting domestic manufacturing. However, the last year was frittered away due to changes in the duty structure.
What have been some of the new technology trends in the module industry and how have you geared up for the same?
PIXON is a firm believer in advancing with the market’s recent innovations. With the addition of introducing Multi-Busbar modules and Topcon, we are further expanding our production line by 1 GW. The future of renewable energy is forecasted to expand in the coming years, led by solar energy. The capacity of solar energy would be almost double in comparison to the present. The predictions about renewable energy in the future are expected to increase, solar energy will also grow extensively. PIXON has already set landmarks and is consistently delivering efficient solar energy solutions to attain new heights. Both the Multibusbar and Topcon technologies are supported by our current and running infrastructure.
Give us the key highlights of your modules.
PIXON products stand through their performance and quality. PIXON solar modules are robust and tested to withstand extremes of weather conditions. PIXON provides a wide range of modules under the following categories:

We are launching our Multi-Busbar modules, and ALMM will soon validate them.
Key features of PIXON’s solar module in India:
- Glass with an anti-reflective coating improves light transmission
- Least manual intervention
- Maximum system voltage: 1500 V DC
- PID resistant with long-term reliability
- Better quality control
- High resistance to high temperature, high humidity and alkali environment
Are you planning any addition to your product portfolio in the coming year?
Yes, we will be expanding our product line in the upcoming years. The company anticipates additional developments in its supply chain throughout India as a result of its upcoming Multi-Busbar and Topcon production lines. To satisfy the demands for quality, PIXON also has a 1 GW manufacturing line for EVA Film and other materials. In the future, we intend to launch Topcon, Mono-Perc/N-type, Multi-Busbar high Wp, and BiB modules in addition to a 2 GW expansion of our production line.
Tell us about your commitment to Solar Sector in India & your strengths to achieve your targets.
Our Multi-Busbar production line expansion is easily supported by our current infrastructure. The government of India’s “Made in India” initiative is assisting us in growing to a multi-GW production line. In order to match our energy goals with supply goals, we are also aiming to supply energy to domestic and international power producers. We are among the top winning players in the industry to supply solar modules on a gigawatt scale.
