INTEC Energy Solutions (INTEC), a leading solar EPC system provider, is further enhancing its project portfolio in its continuing partnership with CHINT Solar (CHINT) – a global provider of smart energy solutions – with whom it is collaborating in the Denmark M-12 29 MWp capacity project for HOFOR. INTEC and CHINT will be providing all EPC and O&M services required for the operation of this project on behalf of HOFOR – Greater Copenhagen Utility – the largest utility company in Denmark, which is involved in the creation of sustainable towns and cities in such core fields as water, wastewater, district heating, town gas, and district cooling.
Denmark’s PV market is steadily expanding, and it has become one of the most attractive ones as a result of extensive governmental support, especially in recent years. The INTEC and CHINT Partnership is actively involved in the European market, where it has recently established a number of strategic alliances. A recent 328 MWp capacity project in which the Partnership was engaged in Denmark served as an excellent reference for the launch of this brand new project in the country.
INTEC’s competencies in the provision of comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, and its Operation and Maintenance (O&M) capabilities with CHINT’s solar energy solutions will meet the demands of HOFOR – Denmark’s largest utility company – for the realization of this project in North Jutland. After entering into full operation, this ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant (PVPP) and tracker system will generate 35 GWh of green electricity per year, providing 9,000 households with clean energy while lowering carbon emissions by roughly 20,000 tons per year. The project will feature 52,560 mounted modules over an area of 42,84 hectares when completed.
INTEC and CHINT will bring their in-house capabilities and company-owned heavy machinery to start work on the project site in September 2022 and will deliver the plant on time to the highest quality standards, with commissioning planned for spring 2023, and continue to provide Operation & Maintenance services to the project for two years after it enters into operation.
“It is an honor to be making a difference to Denmark’s energy future in this project for HOFOR – Greater Copenhagen Utility. INTEC and CHINT’s portfolio is constantly expanding with the support and collaboration of our clients. We believe our collaboration with the Danish utility HOFOR will lead to further projects in the future. As INTEC, we are happy to be one of the key players with our partner CHINT in this growth and to be contributing to a greener future in Denmark with our current and projected projects,” says INTEC CEO Adrien Joseph.
