G Capital Bhd’s subsidiary Solarcity Malaysia Sdn Bhd completes the installation of and started the operation of a solar PV system with Chin Well Fasteners Company Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chin Well Holdings Bhd.
Solarcity installed the solar system at Chin Well Fasteners’ Bukit Mertajam premises, Penang. The companies in the group are principally involved with manufacturing a variety of wire and fastening products.
Datuk Yap Yee Ping, executive director of G Capital, said that the company was pleased with the commissioning and completion of the 2,380.32 Kilowatt Peak solar PV system.
“With this, we have an energized 17.41-megawatt peak, solar PV system. We are currently monetizing with 18.51 MWp solar PV systems for an estimated yearly income of RM5.88million.
Yap stated, “We remained positive towards the future outlook for our businesses as well as Malaysia as we approached the 15th Malaysian general elections.”
