The Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL) has called for bids for the provision of solar inverters for the North Point Lighthouse solar power plant in Port Blair.
The online bid must be submitted by December 15, 2022. The opening of bids is scheduled for December 16, 2022.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 616,000. The contract period is of one year which can be extended for further two years which solely depends on satisfactory performance.
An earnest money deposit of Rs. 12,320 must be submitted by the winning bidder, which will be valid for a period of six months from the bid opening date.
The scope of work for this solar inverter tender also includes design and engineering, supply, installation, manufacture/procurement, testing, and commissioning, as well as a warranty obligation and extensive operation and maintenance.
Only commercial offers from technically competent bidders who satisfy the pre-qualification conditions will be accepted.
No bids will be accepted from bidders whose close relatives are employed by the Directorate of Lighthouses & Lightships Port Blair as accountants or as gazetted officers in any position.
Further, the potential bidder must also provide the names of any individuals who are currently employed by or have previously worked for the Director of Lighthouses and Lightships in Port Blair and are close relatives of any gazetted officers in the DLL or the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
Additionally, bidders who do not satisfy the tender specifications are likely to be rejected.
The Director of Lighthouses and Lightships, Port Blair, shall make the ultimate and binding judgment on the selected bidder.
