SunCon To Build 50MW Solar Power Plant Of RM218.76 Million In Malaysia For GBS Suria

Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (SCSB) accepts the Letter of Award issued by GBS Suria Sdn Bhd for the Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing, and Commissioning of Solar Photovoltaic Energy Generating Facility with Ancillary Equipment and Facilities with generating capacity of 50MW at Mukim Teja, Daerah Kampar, Perak Darul Ridzuan.

GBS Suria Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gopeng Berhad, whereas Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway Construction Group Bhd or SunCon.

The contract sum for the EPCC Works is RM218,756,675.00 which shall be inclusive of the taxes, duties, impositions, assignments, levies, fees, costs, and expenses of any kind necessary (including insurance) for SBSCโ€™s performance under the EPCC Contract, supply of all utilities, consumables, and services required during the construction of the Facility.

The EPCC works include the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the Facility which includes the solar photovoltaic energy generating facility, the new 132kV substation, and associated facilities, the transmission line(s) and/or underground cable(s) and associated facilities and the related works at the Tenaga Nasional Berhad Interconnection Facility and if applicable including transmission lines works.

The EPCC Works are to be commenced immediately on 17 January 2023 and the duration for the completion of the EPCC Works by SCSB is 20 months from the commencement date.
