The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Module Manufacturers (ALMM). It added 14 solar module manufacturing companies to the list.
The revised list includes 89 module producers with 20.98GW of module capacity. So far, there are no Chinese module suppliers that have been enlisted under ALMM.
The new entrants includes Abhishek Solar Industries, Aatmanirbhar Solar, Ameya Solar and Semiconductor, Agrawal Renewable Energy, Sunify Solar, Unique Sun Power, Ankur Traders and Engineers, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Credence Solar Panels, Ganesh Electrical, HR Solar Solution, Innovative Solar Solutions, Plaza Power and Infrastructure, and Urjastrot Enterprise.
In the list Waaree Energies, Credence Solar Panels are registered with ALMM for 650 Wp modules. Ankur Traders and Engineers has registered a 585 Wp Mono PERC C–Si Module.
Premier Energies lists 565 Wp modules while Saatvik has 570 Wp module listings. Emmvee photovoltaics and Tata Power Systems both have 520 Wp modules and BHEL has 214 MW.
There are few news entries ranging from 14 MW Ameya Solar And Semiconductor in Andhra Pradesh to Abhishek Solar, in Jharkhand with 25 MW capacity.
The government did not extend the deadline to allow for the anticipated relief in net metering or open access projects. Developers are required to use ALMM modules manufactured in the country starting October 1, 2022.
