The Sweden India Business Council (SIBC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government to collaborate in areas such as waste to energy, sustainable energy, infrastructure and transportation, defence manufacturing, and investment, reports PTI.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. The SIBC and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) signed the MoU, with a commitment to explore and facilitate funding opportunities for joint projects.
Fadnavis tweeted that he looks forward to working with Sweden in innovation, manufacturing, technology, solar energy, green and clean energies.
The collaboration aims to create more job opportunities and foster technology cooperation for a more sustainable future.
The Consul General of Sweden in Mumbai, Anna Lekvall, expressed her delight about the deepening ties between Sweden and Maharashtra.
