The Omani-Kuwaiti Joint Committee has issued a communique following its 9th session, held in Muscat on March 11-12, 2023. The committee expressed its satisfaction with the high level of relations between Oman and Kuwait in all fields, particularly in the areas of the economy, trade, finance, renewable energy, transport, communications, technology, higher education, and research. The two sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation to serve the interests of their people.
The communique also stated that the two sides discussed regional and international issues of common concern and expressed identical views on them.
The committee welcomed the joint tripartite statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the People’s Republic of China on restoring ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran. They affirmed that this step is essential to maintain security and stability in the region.
At the end of the session, the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation. He also looked forward to Kuwait hosting the 10th session of the joint committee.
