Amp Energy India, has commissioned its fifth solar open access project in Mishrik, Uttar Pradesh. The 30 MWp project is supplying solar power to several well-known customers, including Bharti Airtel, Hero Motors, JK Cement, and Allana Group. The project is helping these customers save approximately 45% on their energy costs by replacing nearly 50% of their conventional power consumption.
With a current active portfolio of around 300MWp spread across seven locations in Uttar Pradesh, Amp Energy India is committed to helping customers transition to 100% renewable energy.
The company has recently been awarded 1GW under the performance-linked incentive (PLI) program to manufacture 39.6 GW of solar modules. The award, worth Rs 139.4 billion, includes a maximum incentive of Rs 1.4 billion/ Rs 140 Cr for Amp Energy India (AMPIN Solar One).
Amp Energy India has also become a trusted partner in the renewable energy sector for corporates in Gujarat. The company has established two large-scale, state-of-the-art wind-solar hybrid open access projects in the state, with a cumulative capacity of 112 MWp. These projects are designed to expand to 172 MWp with the establishment of a third hybrid open access project. The company’s focus is to help more than 18 marquee C&I customers save up to 40% on their energy costs while also meeting their renewable energy targets. The establishment of these projects has enabled the company to enhance its presence in the renewable energy sector in Gujarat.
