Azure Power Appoints Harpreet Singh as Head of Supply Chain Management

Azure Power, a well-known independent power producer specializing in solar power generation, has recently appointed Harpreet Singh as their new Head of Supply Chain Management.

Harpreet Singh has over 29 years of multi facets techno-commercial experience in leading Supply Chain Management, strategy development & implementation and project procurement. He also has expertise in management of domestic and international Logistic activities for Large Scale Infrastructure Projects across India. Prior to Azure Power, he was Head of Business Operations at First Energy (Thermax). His other experiences include leadership positions in supply chain at SB Energy (SoftBank), Schneider Electric, Siemens India, Ballarpur ind., Moser Baer among others.

Harpreet holds Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management from CII Institute of Logistic and B.E (Industrial Engineering) from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He has also completed certificate program for Business Managers from IIM, Bangalore and Strategic finance for professionals from ISB Hyderabad.

Harpreet Singh said about his new role, “I am happy to join Azure and look forward to bringing in my experience of implementing innovative methodologies and technologies in streamlining procurement procedures and establish strong partnerships with suppliers.”
