BHEL Invites Bids for Operation and Maintenance of 65 MW Solar Power Project in Tamil Nadu

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has called for bids for the operation and maintenance of a 65 MW solar power project in Tamil Nadu for NLC India. The project is to be maintained for a period of 19 months, with a deadline for bid submission on May 16, 2023.

Bidders must provide an earnest money deposit of ₹786,800, with the successful participant also furnishing 5% of the total contract value as performance security. The maintenance vendor must carry out solar panel cleaning, vegetation removal, and transformer oil filtration work, among other tasks. Micro and small enterprises will receive preference in purchasing the contract.

Additionally, contractors must visit the site and study the job content, facilities, and prevailing conditions before quoting for the tender. If the contractor fails to maintain the required progress, BHEL has the right to impose liquidated damages at the rate of 0.5% of the contract value per week of delay or part thereof, subject to a maximum of 10% of the contract value.
