Department of Agriculture (DA) Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Solar Blue Inc. President Maria Theresa Capellan to introduce and establish innovative projects in food production, particularly in aquaculture.
Based on the MOU, the DA through its Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) shall identify available fishponds for lease and provide technical assistance, among others.
Solar Blue, for its part, shall be responsible for capacity building in the community to provide knowledge and skills on the construction, operations, and maintenance of the solar on-stilts technology, among others.
Solar Blue, a corporation that focuses on the development of solar energy, is affiliated with the CMEC and SEI and is recognized for implementing projects aimed at boosting food production.
