Larsen & Toubro’s PT&D Business Secures Major Orders Worth Rs 2,500 Crore in Domestic and Offshore Markets

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that it has secured significant orders totaling over Rs 2,500 crore in both domestic and offshore markets. The power transmission & distribution (PT&D) business of its subsidiary, Larsen & Toubro Construction, has successfully secured these large orders on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.

In Saudi Arabia, the PT&D business has been awarded two orders for the establishment of 380kV overhead power transmission lines that will connect prominent cities along the Red Sea coast. Additionally, another order has been received for the design, supply, and construction of a 380kV substation in the central region of Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, in India, the PT&D business continues its winning streak in the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme projects. L&T has secured fresh orders from a renowned Gujarat DISCOM, involving the modernization and development of distribution infrastructure in three districts of Gujarat’s southern region.

L&T classifies projects ranging from Rs 2,500 to 5,000 crore as large orders. The company’s recent success highlights its expertise and capability in the power transmission and distribution sector, both within India and internationally.
