In a notable development, Shakti Pumps, a prominent Indian solar pumping company with a significant presence in the renewable energy sector, has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under Component-B of PM-KUSUM scheme (Phase-III). This empanelment is for an impressive 50,000 Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) pumps, catering to the entire state of Maharashtra. The total value of this substantial contract amounts to approximately โน1,603 Crores, inclusive of GST, and is slated for execution over a 24-month timeline.
Last month, the company secured its maiden work order under KUSUM – 3scheme, receiving a substantial contract from the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA). This contract involves the procurement of 7,781 pumps and is valued at approximately โน358 Crores, inclusive of GST. This success serves as a testament to Shakti Pumps’ growing influence within the renewable energy sector, both in the state of Haryana and on a national scale.
Furthermore, Shakti Pumps’ commendable endeavors have not gone unnoticed, as it secured another commercial order under the PM-KUSUM scheme Component-C in the first week of October. Ajmer Viduyt Vitran Nigam Limited awarded the company a significant contract valued at โน149.71 Crores, further highlighting India’s steadfast commitment to harnessing solar energy for sustainable agricultural practices, thus advancing the vision of an Aatmnirbhar Bharat or a self-reliant India.
