The Adani Group, known as India’s fastest-growing portfolio, hosted the third edition of ‘Green Talks’ recently. At this event, founders from five startups showcased their visions, utilizing this platform aimed at nurturing social entrepreneurs and transforming their ideas into tangible realities.
‘Green Talks’ stands as a non-profit platform, connecting a global network of social enterprises striving for comprehensive change, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year’s edition focuses on empowering entrepreneurs making significant contributions to Bharat through innovative solutions enhancing humanity’s welfare.
Among the startups featured were Dveck Mobility Private Limited, offering a device that can convert any bicycle into an electric vehicle within minutes, and Haqdarshak, a tech organization simplifying access to government welfare schemes for social impact. Additional startups included Marut Drones, specializing in intelligent drones for diverse farming applications, ONergy Solar, committed to making solar solutions accessible to all, and PRESPL, offering green and sustainable biomass solutions. The event was broadcast live on YouTube and internal channels for Adani employees.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, emphasized the organization’s commitment to learning and fostering innovation. He welcomed startups to leverage the Adani Group as a testing ground for their solutions, praising the courage and entrepreneurial spirit driving these initiatives in India, contributing to the nation’s vibrant startup ecosystem.
The Adani Group has previously collaborated with startups like iKure, providing healthcare services in the Sundarbans, RoboBionics specializing in prosthetics technology, and dharavimarket, a social enterprise supporting the holistic development of Dharavi’s craftsmen and residents.
The inaugural ‘Green Talks’ occurred in 2021, followed by the 2022 announcement of the Adani Prize for Social Enterprise. This prize aimed to support five exceptional social entrepreneurs with a total funding of Rs 5 crores, recognizing their impactful contributions in India and other developing regions.
‘Green Talks’ serves as a convergence point for social enterprises catalyzing transformative changes across various sectors. It operates as a hub for open-source innovation, enabling free-flowing discussions and nurturing groundbreaking concepts for sustainable societal impact. The initiative strongly believes in empowering entrepreneurs to leverage technology, design, and business innovation for the greater good.
