The Kulevi Solar Power Plant, located in Kulevi, Khobi Municipality, Georgia, has recently been fully completed and officially commissioned. With a DC capacity of 637 kW and an AC capacity of 500 kW, the plant is expected to generate approximately 730,000 kWh of clean electricity annually, providing stable and cost-effective green energy for a local fish processing plant.
The Kulevi Solar Power Plant utilizes high-efficiency and reliable Tiger Neo series PV modules. Their excellent power generation performance and superior low-light response ensure high energy output even under complex climatic conditions. The project operates under Georgia’s net-billing mechanism, enabling the factory to effectively reduce electricity costs through self-consumption. It is estimated that the plant will save the owner approximately USD 400,000 in electricity expenses over its lifetime.
The project was fully developed and constructed by Renewable Georgian Energy, a leading renewable energy developer in Georgia. A company representative stated, “The Kulevi Solar Power Plant is not only a significant step in advancing the local energy transition but also demonstrates the outstanding adaptability and economic efficiency of Tiger Neo modules in commercial and industrial rooftop projects. We believe such projects will set a benchmark for renewable energy development in Georgia and the wider region.”
The grid connection and operation of the Kulevi Solar Power Plant will not only help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and support Georgia in achieving its renewable energy targets but also provide a viable pathway for local industrial enterprises to optimize energy costs through solar power.
Looking ahead, as more similar projects are implemented, Tiger Neo will continue to leverage its high-efficiency and reliable product features to accelerate the global transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy structure.
