The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) is set to showcase the Emirateโ€™s integrated power and water governance framework at the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026, scheduled to take place from 3 to 5 February in Dubai under the theme โ€œShaping Future Governments.โ€

As a leading participant at the global forum, the DoE will highlight Abu Dhabiโ€™s integrated regulatory approach across energy, water, petroleum products, and district cooling sectors, demonstrating how coordinated system planning, regulatory oversight, and policy-driven governance enhance sector resilience, sustainability, and consumer protection.

The Department will underscore how integrated planning, regulatory certainty, and indicator-based decision-making are strengthening system reliability, ensuring security of supply, and enhancing competitiveness across Abu Dhabiโ€™s utility services. The approach supports economic growth while reinforcing the Emirateโ€™s position as a model for future-ready and resilient utility governance.

The DoE will also contribute to high-level policy discussions on legislative and regulatory challenges shaping the global energy and water sectors, reaffirming its long-term commitment to sustainable sector transformation. In parallel, bilateral engagements are expected to focus on advancing international cooperation, policy alignment, and innovation in system-wide governance.
