OUTRIGGER Teams with New Energy Capital Asia for Solar Integration at Thai Resorts, Pioneering Sustainability in Hospitality

OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with New Energy Capital Asia, a leading provider of customized solar energy solutions. This partnership marks a significant stride in OUTRIGGER’s dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility, as they unveil plans to install state-of-the-art solar rooftop systems at three of their flagship properties in Thailand: OUTRIGGER Khao Lak Beach Resort, OUTRIGGER Surin Beach Resort, and OUTRIGGER Koh Samui Beach Resort. Together, these installations will boast a combined solar capacity of 1.2MWp.

Under the terms of three solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) inked between OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group and New Energy Capital Asia, several key benefits are anticipated:

  • Annual Electricity Savings: The solar installations are projected to generate an estimated 1,900 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean energy annually, substantially reducing OUTRIGGER’s dependence on conventional grid electricity and yielding significant cost savings.
  • CO2 Reduction: Through harnessing solar energy, these initiatives are forecasted to result in an annual reduction of approximately 1,470 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, aligning with Thailand’s endeavors to address climate change.
  • Positive Environmental Impact: The reduction in CO2 emissions is equivalent to preserving 60,000 trees annually, making a considerable contribution to preserving Thailand’s verdant landscapes and natural allure.
